Random Thoughts: This is a wide open tournament. There’s no great team, but a lot of solid teams, so I’ll go with Akron. It should be an advantage for them to play in Cleveland.

Second Round: Utah State over Hawaii, Boise State over NMSU, Idaho over La. Tech, Nevada over SJSU

Semifinals: Utah State over Boise State, Idaho over Nevada

Random Thoughts: Utah State is clearly the best team in this conference and probably one of the better mid majors period, so I’ll stick with them getting the job done. I would watch out for Idaho though. They’re a feisty team… Ok, I made that up, but they’re coming into this tournament on a hot streak, so I’m going with them to make a run to the title game.

Random Thoughts: I always like it when there’s a team that’s dominant in their conference, like Morgan State, who’s destined to lose by 40 to a 1 seed a week from now. It’s like Barry Horowitz whipping the Brooklyn Brawler for a shot at The Undertaker.

First Round: Cincy over Depaul, Georgetown over St. John’s, Seton Hall over South Florida, Notre Dame over Rutgers

Second Round: Providence over Cincy, Georgetown over Marquette, Syracuse over Seton Hall, WVU over Notre Dame

Random Thoughts: Again, I don’t get the first day thing. It is beyond retarded to have these shitty teams playing. For the sake of the whole family, you should keep the crack babies in the house when the rest of the kids are outside playing. I went with a decent amount of upsets in this tournament because quite frankly, I don’ t think it matters all that much to the higher seeds. That said, Pitt’s got a lot of NYC guys and I think winning at the Garden will be important to them.
