I Give Up
I don’t get what you think the point of this exercise is. You keep saying “I’m not trying to sell the most tickets, I’m trying to put together the best wrestling card”. Well, selling the most tickets means you put together the best wrestling card. Last I checked, that was the whole idea; generating the biggest buzz and cultivating the largest audiences possible. This isn’t performance art. There’s no Oscars here, so making a well acted artsy independent flick that does $10 million at the box office isn’t going to get you anywhere. Hulk Hogan is Arnold Schwarzzenagger, Mr. Perfect is Phillip Seymour Hoffman, and you’re putting together the biggest action movie of all time. Everyone knows Hoffman is at least 10,000 times better at acting, but no one in their right mind would cast him as the lead. I don’t get why you’re trying to reinvent the wheel. We’re creating the Ultimate Wrestlemania, which I assumed meant the biggest wrestling card you could possibly put together, not catering to our own personal whims. I mean I always enjoyed it when Rikishi rubbed his ass on some dude’s face, should I have him in the main event? Maybe Rikishi-Doink?
