Well, in keeping with today’s theme of meanspiritedly mocking successful sports commentators, I wanted to pass along a link to a video of Mike Francesa going batshit after a caller disagrees with his assertion that Joba Chamberlain be moved to the bullpen immediately. I believe Bo and I have previously referenced our long time fondness for listening [...]

I know this article may have been mainly tounge in cheek, but I was just so completely annoyed by it that I had to post something. It really is the perfect article for Fire Joe Morgan to tear to shreds, but unfortunately those days are over. I’m going to go ahead and attempt to FJMize it anyway, because [...]

Shut Up, Mo Williams
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/playoffs/2009/news/story?id=4205686
I’m all for Lebron making guarantees if he feels compelled to do so, but Mo Williams? Seriously? What would Jordan have done if Toni Kukoc started talking trash in the press like he was Muhammad Ali or something? My guess is he would’ve first told him to shut the fuck up, and then if that failed, either beat [...]

So I’m leaving tomorrow for a 7 week trip to Europe. Obviously, I’m very excited about it, but I will say that this is a very loaded part of the sports year, and there are a lot of things I’m going to miss. So here’s my list of the events I’ll miss most, and a [...]

NBA Playoffs Picks Update
Pat: 14 points, 3 out of 4 2nd round series right.
Bo: 10 points, 2 out of 4 2nr round series right.
Pat pulled farther ahead thanks to the Magic finally taking out the Celtics. Unfortunately, we have the exact same picks for this round, so the deciding factor will be who wins the Cavs-Lakers Finals.

With the lottery less than a week away, I think it’s about time the Basement starts discussing the NBA Draft. At least at this point in the process, there seems to be a consensus #1 pick for the first time since Lebron in’03. Remember Bogut and Bargnani were far from unanimously loved, while Howard, Oden and Rose [...]

A Word on Manny/Steroids
Well, I’m finally making my triumphant return to posting after a 2 week hiatus, and the first thing that I need to ramble about is Manny and this steroid nonsense. First of all, if you’re a Dodger fan (and you’re probably not because there’s approximately 13 people in all of LA who actually give a shit about the Dodgers), I feel [...]

NBA Playoff Picks Update
Pat – 8 points, got 6 of the 8 series right, and nailed the Hawks in 7.
Bo – 6 points, got 4 of the 8 series right, nailed Lakers in 5.
We both have the Lakers and Cavs advancing, and both lost the Hornets, so the only head-to-head matchup is the Celtics and Magic. Pat has [...]

Bo’s Ultimate Wrestlemania
First, in response to the ongoing argument about how we should be building our cards. I’m not disputing that I would have drafted differently if I was trying to sell the most tickets and PPV shares. Like Pat said, the vast majority of wrestling fans are trailer-trash loser morons who just want to see people [...]
